Awakening of Self, A Gift of Hope

As the new year approaches, I automatically begin to become more introspective. I reflect on all the events of the past year, the first year of marriage, Covid19, my mom’s battle with health issues; navigating a new normal in many ways – both personally and in business. My latest artwork is titled, “Awakening of Self,” A Gift of Hope for 2021.

I am feeling a deep-seated need to be rooted, grounded in nature while looking upward, embracing all that is new in the new year with hope. All that created who I am is rooted in faith, family and a determination to live the best life I am capable of living.

If 2019 has shown me nothing else more clearly, it is that I want to embrace the beauty and gifts within and share that with the world.

It is time to live, and live fully, the life that was given at birth to my soul. We are all blessed with special gifts. These gifts are to be used to make the world a better place. I sincerely hope that anyone reading this feels the passion and purpose in the work I am doing. I am eager to connect and continue to grow in 2021.

The dragonfly talisman of sorts for this year and will be in the year to come. In almost every part of the world, the dragonfly symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.

Rainbows are a symbol of hope in many cultures. They appear as perfect arcs, often during a rainstorm when the sun shines onto water droplets, shattering its white light into an array of brilliant colours. It is a means of awakening people’s emotions.

This new drawing represents the work of my heart, Art Soul Living and the Global Art Café, a wonderful creative community. It is my gift to you for hope and good health in 2021.
